There are 31 mincemeat pie recipes, falling into four categories; breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Each recipe lists a "Prep Time," "Cook Time," "Ready In" time and number of "Servings." The book includes an integrated Table of Contents which lists each recipe. The recipes I read looked "doable." Not all of the recipes have mincemeat made from scratch. Several recipes require "a jar of mincemeat" or a measured amount of "good quality mincemeat." In the recipe "Crumbly and Fruity Mince Pie," the recipe requires "350g high quality mincemeat preferably homemade." The word "mincemeat" is a hyperlink that takes you to a BBC food website with a recipe for homemade mincemeat. I saw this in several recipes, the actual "mincemeat" recipe itself was not in the book, there was just a link to read it on the web. It's nice that the author didn't use recipes that weren't hers in her book, but I was hoping there would be more "homemade mincemeat" recipes actually in the book to be used as the basis for the pies.Just in case you missed the reference to "British food culture" in the description you should also know that all the measurements, oven temps and ingredients are indeed "British." If you're use to American recipes, you'll have to do some conversions. Ingredients are measured in grams and milliliters, with oven temps mostly given in Celsius
The formatting on my Kindle Fire was a bit "off" in places but still readable. It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was OK.

These recipes are delightful nland so easy to prepare. I do however change the ingredients to suit my own taste. I believe in taking a recipe and making it your own by adding or leaving out what you enjoy or don't like. Thank you and enjoy your meal and enjoy your day.
I didn't learn how to cook growing up, I always was outside working with my Dad. My head under the hood of a big rig and fetching tools. My brothers hated working with him and I was the only one that loved it. I did learn how to fend for myself with cars and almost anything else. My dad always said that it good to be a girl but that girl needed to know how to be self-sufficient. Well, I definitely am that, thanks to him. Oh, and he always made me wear gloves to that I would still have soft hands WITHOUT grease under the nails!!! LOL That being said I have collected cookbooks so that I can fix anything that I want. I love having the digital ones, they don't take up any space. Also having a small family now that the kids and grandkids are grown, having a cookbook is the only way to go in making smaller portions. New, Cookbooks for treats and everyday foods for everyone's collection.
